Gran Malo Spicy Tamarindo is a Mexican tequila-based liqueur famous for its bold fusion of sweet, tart tamarind and fiery chili spice. Launched by the prominent Mexican influencer and YouTuber Luisito Comunica, this unique spirit is crafted in Jalisco, Mexico, using a high-quality blend of blanco tequila and sugarcane spirits. It features a approachable 30% ABV (60 proof), making it smoother and easier to drink than standard tequila, while its signature 750ml packaging includes a clever bottle lid that doubles as a functional shot glass. Mimicking the profile of classic Mexican street candy, the liqueur delivers an aroma of earthy agave, citrus, and dried chilis, which transitions into a velvety palate of caramelized fruit and a building, warming kick of Mexican chilis and cinnamon.
This pre-balanced flavor profile makes the spirit highly versatile and incredibly easy to serve, as it eliminates the need for complex cocktail ingredients. It is most commonly enjoyed poured straight from the freezer as a chilled party shot, but it also shines when mixed into classic drinks. For an easy cocktail, it can be shaken with fresh lime juice to create a quick Spicy Tamarind Margarita, or topped with grapefruit soda or sparkling water for a refreshing highball. Gran Malo is a fun, convenient, and flavorful addition to any festive gathering, Mexican lager, or Michelada.
