Gitton Sancerre Les Herses
Gitton Père et Fils is a respected Loire Valley producer known for expressive, site-specific Sauvignon Blancs from Sancerre. Les Herses is a single vineyard planted on flinty soils, producing wines with crispness and mineral depth.
The wine was fermented with native yeasts and aged in large oak barrels for ten months. This approach brings subtle richness while preserving the wine’s bright, citrus-driven character.
- Opens with aromas of citrus peel, green apple and white peach.
- The palate reveals grapefruit, honey and flint, with vibrant acidity and a savoury edge.
- Finishes long and mineral, with a clean citrus lift and subtle oak warmth.
Pairs well with grilled white fish, fresh goat’s cheese or sushi, where its acidity enhances delicate flavours.
