Wrapper: Mexican San Andrés Maduro
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan Seco, Ligero & Viso
Profile: Full
Cayman Cigar Company was founded on the belief that premium, handcrafted cigars should be approachable without sacrificing quality. Produced in Nicaragua with an all Nicaraguan filler and a prized Mexican San Andrés wrapper, the Doubloon is the brand's boldest regular production expression.
The Doubloon wears a dark, oily Mexican San Andrés Maduro wrapper, one of the most coveted maduro leaves in the world, over a Nicaraguan binder and a three leaf filler of Nicaraguan Seco, Ligero, and Viso. The result is a full bodied smoke with the natural sweetness and dark richness that San Andrés is famous for, featuring notes of dark chocolate, espresso, earth, leather, and a long, warming finish with a hint of natural sweetness that carries through to the final draw. The Toro and Gordo vitolas are box pressed, adding a focused draw and a distinctive look in the hand.
Bold, dark, and deeply satisfying, the Doubloon is the treasure at the bottom of the Cayman lineup.
