Wrapper: Brazilian
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan
Profile: Medium +
CAO Brazilia is the cigar that introduced much of the premium cigar world to the bold beauty of Brazilian wrapper tobacco, and it remains one of the most influential blends in the category. Draped in a dark, oily Brazilian Mata Fina wrapper and filled with premium Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos, this medium plus profile delivers a rich and memorable smoking experience from start to finish.
When CAO launched Brazilia in 2001, Brazilian Mata Fina wrapper tobacco was largely unknown in the premium cigar market. The blend is widely credited with showcasing the unique qualities of Brazilian leaf, including its natural sweetness, earthy depth, and floral aromatics. Grown in the Bahia region of Brazil, Mata Fina develops a thicker, oilier texture than many traditional wrapper tobaccos, contributing to its distinctive flavor and burn characteristics.
The Nicaraguan tobaccos provide structure and balance, complementing the wrapper's sweetness with notes of earth, nuts, spice, cedar, and subtle floral undertones. The result is a smooth, luxurious smoke with impressive complexity and a long, satisfying finish.
A true landmark in premium cigar history, CAO Brazilia remains a standout blend that continues to showcase the remarkable character of Brazilian tobacco while delivering a flavorful and approachable experience for cigar enthusiasts of every level.
