This set brings together three bottles from Bulleit, the Kentucky whiskey brand Tom Bulleit started in 1987. He set out to revive a high-rye bourbon recipe from his own family. That rye-forward style is still what Bulleit Bourbon is known for.
The bourbon is made with limestone-filtered water and aged in heavily charred oak barrels. The char adds a gentle smoky edge. It is bottled at 90 proof, so it has real presence without feeling harsh.
Pour a glass and you will notice toffee, spice and oak on the nose. The sip is smooth and full, with vanilla, apple, a little nutmeg and smoky oak. The finish is long and fairly dry.
Bulleit Bourbon also took a Gold medal at the 2024 TAG Global Spirits Awards. It is a sure pick for fans of popular bourbon and a handy way to stock your bar.
Give the set as one of your bourbon gifts, or keep it for yourself. Try it neat, over ice or in an Old Fashioned. It goes great with barbecue and grilled meats.
