Bib & Tucker Double Char offers a savory, subtly smoky twist on the brand’s classic expression, bringing thoughtful complexity through its unique double-char maturation. Balanced and smooth at 44% ABV (88 proof), it features tempting warmth, baking spice, and toasted sweetness—ideal for those who appreciate nuance over overt smoke
Aging & Production
-
This Tennessee bourbon undergoes a two-stage aging process: first, 6 years in new American oak barrels; then, at least 5 months in a second heavily charred barrel that’s also smoked with sugar maple to echo the Lincoln County charcoal filtering tradition.
Nose (Aroma)
-
Aromatics begin with mint, vanilla, cinnamon, and fresh timber, accented by a hint of cherry and subtle toasted oak, contributing to its gentle complexity.
Palate & Texture
-
The palate offers a rich entry of caramel and vanilla sweetness, rounded out by lively cinnamon spice and a crisp oak bite. These flavors are grounded in a smooth, approachable texture at a lower (for bourbon) proof.
Finish
-
The medium-length finish resonates with cherry, cinnamon, gentle minerality, and lingering vanilla—warm and nuanced without overwhelming blunt heat.
